WHO WE ARE
OUR MISSION
REEL North Alliance is a student-led school organization dedicated to focusing on and improving mental health for students in our schools and our community. Our goal is to destigmatize mental health and make advancements in suicide prevention through our student-led general meetings and our community events.
WHAT WE DO
How we are actively working to make a difference
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We are actively working to end the stigma that surrounds mental health and spread awareness for suicide prevention in our community through the various events we host. These events include: Jack's Big Bash Fishing Tournament, Green Out volleyball, Trunk or Treat, Stomp Out the Stigma, Movie Night Out, and more.
EDUCATION
Through Pequot Lakes High School, students and community members are invited to take the Teen and Youth Mental Health First Aid courses. Teen and Youth Mental Health First Aid give REEL students and adults working with teens the skills need to provide effective support for a friend or student experiencing a mental health challenge, through a five-step process.
VOLUNTEERING
As members of REEL North Alliance, we are actively volunteering in REEL events as well as various community events that support mental health. All high school students are welcome to become REEL members.
